Grace James told Adger Keyes, what's her opinion about some events in life and who she really is down deep inside.
Adger Keyes: You keep on complaining about men you are dating...
Grace James: Oh that's a good start! (laughs) But yeah, I do have some
difficulties keeping my relationships with them balanced. But I don't
complain. Whenever I...talk with a man I feel comfortable and free. One of the
reasons is because they are honest and trustworthy. And sometimes they
know alot more about your man or womane than yourself.
A.K: Then what are the problems?
G.J: Honestly, I have dated thousand of guys, manipulated them and they
loved me so much that I eventually let them go. But never in my life
have I met a man who dated 2 women at once! Until these couple of
months. (laughs) I mean why does a man need to date 2 women? For what particular reason? You know what I mean, right?
A.K: Yes..
G.J: Whatever the reason is, I end everything in a second.
A.K: How do you do that?
G.J: Without him telling, without him showing and without him knowing. Words are not needed. Actions are enough.
A.K: Well you just opened the inner you. Tell me, what kind of person are you? Realy.
G.J: That's a mystery. (laughs) Well...I need to think about that.
(pause) I am a curious one. I am interested in everything around me and
respect life as it is. I am a thinker. I think a lot about people,
nature and life. I observe absolutely everything.
A.K: How do others see you?
G.J: Well it depends really. Others see me as an exicintg, highly
volatire, rather nimpulsive personality, natural leader, but usually I
make decisions quick. (Pause) Sometimes even without thinking. They see
me as bold and adventurous and oh how I love to travel ! (laughs) But
moslty I am this quiet person and people dont really realize that. I
guess that's because I am the one who show them the other me.
A.K: Ooh I see. And how do you react when guys can go and sleepover at their friends house but girls can't?
G.J: Well because I am a teengaer I dont have parental views about it,
so right now I am going to have the same thoughts about sleepovers as
what other teenagers have. It is just not fair.
A.K: Why?
G.J: Because girls unlike boys are different. Girls are not going to go
and drink, smoke weed and party at their friends house. That's my
opinion. They might just gossip, watch tv, play some games like monopoly
or something. But parents don't seem to understand that. They keep on
explaining us some stupid lectures about why girls cant go. But unlike some girls who shut up after what their parents say...I unlike them have
this thing that I do called thinking and I start to debate with them.
But yeah, it's actually mean debating with parents but I can't help it.
It's just not fair.
A.K: When you debate, in what view to you see this whole situation?
G.J: Wow...ummm, I usually use my intuition or emotions instead of logic
but when there are these kind of situations I use logic. Example: A
painter who wants to paint something mysterious and psychological. An
artist sits down and thinks. He thinks, only. And then click! Something
logical happens. Logical Art.
A.K: Let's talk about art. What can you learn from art?
G.L: Oh many things !!
A.K: But not many people understand what art is..
G.j: Yeah, some think it's only style, some think it's only paintings, some think it's fashion, architecture, music and philosophy. Ok it's everything ! But do you know what's deeper?
A.K: No.
G.J: Observing the painting for example: you not only look at the colours or the paint they use but the classical art, the perspective, religion, individual, and beauty.
A.K: Interesting. Now a few days ago we had some arguments about whether it is wrong to fall in love with a teacher.
G.J: (laughs) Oh here it goes again!
A.K: Oh so you heard about it too?
G.J: Of course ! They even count me as one of the students who is in love with a teacher!
A.K: Is that true?
G.J: Of course no !
A.K: Well 19% said yes, 73% said no and the rest said I don't know. What's your opinion?
G.J: You know the word 'pedophile' should not exist. 'Cos they refer to as adults being involved with kids sexually but also call a 40 year old a pedo cos he is dating an 18 year old. Then why would they say 'age doesnt matter' in the first place? Fine adults are much more experienced, have differenet goals and desires, differet thoughts. But youngsters learn from old people right?
A.K: Right.
G.K: And they can change. A teacher is human after all - you can fall for anyone so why not a teacher? Ignore the policies- they lie, ignore the laws- you still have freedom, ignore the government - they still are careles. Ok, they might go to prison but that is if they have sexual relationship and if the youngster is 17.
A.K: Buy why so many students fall in love with a teacher?
G.K: I think it's because the students believe they have a better sense of view of life, they have expierenced childhood and students usually dont cooporate with people who r 6 year old or older.But teachers are the only people who you feel close to apart from parents...you can trust and admit what is happening...the studetns too want to experience maturity. Teachers know things more than we do.
A.K: But is it love they are looking for? Or sex?
G.J: None of them. It is simply because we trust them, they help us through life and we feel like being closer to them. Thats when they start being confused what they feel. Love or simply just wanting them to be near you. Sometimes, indeed it's about love and sex, I mean teenagers cant avoid it.
A.K: What do you suggest?
G.J: If you truly love this person, then go and get them. It's something I wont ever have a courage to do.
